NEW THIS FALL AT BLUE METROPOLIS, 2021

Author: Christina - Published 2021-10-15 11:27 - (408 Reads)

LIFE... AS A SONG

ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE, OCTOBER 21, 2021

The period between the 1960s and the 1980s literally revolutionized the Quebec and Canadian musical landscape. The unforgettable songs of artists such as Joni Mitchell, Paul Piché, Michel Rivard and countless others are now written into our cultural DNA, and many of them even reached international heights. Fifty years later, Blue Metropolis invited contemporary francophone and anglophone authors to write an original poem inspired by one of these ten songs. The result? La vie… comme dans les chansons – Life… as a Song, a performance that pays tribute to this golden era of music. Hosted by Sylvain Massé, the performance will be made possible be the financial support of Canadian Heritage. It will be presented on October 21, 2021, at 8 p.m. at Cabaret Lion d’Or, without an in-person audience, and broadcast live online on our various platforms.
